Saas Fee Town
Apres Ski
Saas Fee has over 10 bars and 4 clubs. Although the selection is smaller than most other resorts, this gives the pubs a more intimate local feel when drinking. The bars are clubs are dotted along the main road through the town with the odd loud pumping beat. Some of our favorite bars include Nesti and CofFee, followed by Metro for a fine cocktail and then onto Poison for the dancing.
Restaurants
Saas Fee has over 40 restaurants and cafes offering traditional Swiss dishes, specialty cuisines and the comfort foods, all set in beautiful scenery. Although not technically located in Saas Fee, the best restaurant in the local area, with a Michelin star, is The Fletschhorn. Make sure you view the wine cellar with its 20,000 bottle of wine. Our other favorites include The Spielboden (great for fine dining on the mountain) and Astrid’s Fondue Hitta (as the name suggests, for the best fondues).
Shops
Saas Fee has the local feel with most shops being run by the Swiss owner. You’ll find everything in the town from jewellery shops to souvenirs and sports clothing.
Other
Saas Fee has a bit more to offer! There is also the Saaser Museum, the Ice Pavilion and Bike tours as well as night sledding. If you are new to the mountain and haven’t learnt to ski yet, a great place to start would be Mittschdri.
Saas Fee has a great list of summer and winter events which can all be viewed here.

Skiing
Saas Fee is known as a classic Swiss family friendly resort. Full of sunny shallow pistes, the resort is a great place for beginners and children. With most of the runs being over 2500 meters, the snow is usually a great quality and remains all year round. For the intermediates, jump on the 30-person gondola from the village which will take you straight up to Felskinn at 3,000m. For the advanced, then get on the underground funicular which takes you up through the mountain to Allalin at the 3,500m mark. Its also worth noting, Allalin has The Worlds highest revolving restaurant which is a must visit.
Saas Fee also offers endless unexplored off piste runs with most of them requiring a climb up the Cliffside to be able to reach the top.
Saas Fee won Switzerland’s best ski resort back in 2012 showing its potential.
Our verdict is that, with one of our Saas Fee luxury chalets rentals, is that the resort is an all-round great place to ski!
